Soter, Sōter, ēris, m., = Σωτήρ . A savior, deliverer, preserver, a giver of health or safety is est nimirum soter, qui salutem dedit, Cic. Verr. 2, 2, 63, § 154.—Acc.: sotera, Cic. 1. 1.: hodieque ara in Capitolio est Jovis Soteris, Serv. Verg. A. 8, 652; cf. Servator.
